I completely forgot to publish yesterday’s blog last night. I was tired by the end of the day, and it simply slipped out of my mind. So, here I am documenting everything that happened yesterday.
A Late Start to the Morning
Yesterday morning, I woke up at around 8:30 A.M. As usual, one of the first things I did was say good morning to my Pappa. After getting ready, I went downstairs and started thinking about something that had been on my mind for a while.
I really want to start some kind of business or at least build a website that could eventually generate some income for me. Instead of only thinking about it, I decided to actually start working on something.
I Bought a New Domain – UAE101.net
I decided to create a website focused on the UAE, particularly useful information such as UAE travel guides, cost of living, and other things people might search for before visiting or living here. After thinking about the idea, I finally purchased the domain UAE101.net.
My plan is to slowly build the website, publish useful articles, and see where it goes. I don’t expect anything to happen overnight, but at least I have taken the first step instead of simply keeping the idea inside my head.
After that, my Pappa called me. We spoke for some time and had our usual conversation before continuing with our own day.
I Finally Started Swimming Alone!
After the call, I went back to my room, and later I decided to go swimming.
This swimming session was actually special for me because I felt like I had finally learned how to swim much better. I even managed to swim on my own without depending on someone else.
Doing solo swimming gave me a different kind of confidence. Compared to my previous swimming sessions, I could actually feel that I had improved, and I was really happy about that.
Biryani and a Movie
After swimming, I returned to my room feeling hungry and ordered biryani.
I ate the biryani and then decided to relax for some time by watching a movie. There wasn’t anything major happening during the afternoon, so it was basically food, a movie, and some rest.
Later in the evening, however, we decided to go out shopping.
Shopping at a Local Community Market in Dubai
I wanted to buy a few things, including perfumes and watches. So, one of my colleagues and I decided to visit a local community market in Dubai.
The interesting thing about the market was how cheap some of the products were. Unlike regular malls and shops where the price is mostly fixed, here we could bargain with the sellers and try to get things for a much better price.
We explored the market, checked different products, bargained, and bought the things we needed. It was actually a different shopping experience compared with going to the usual malls in Dubai.
Why Hasn’t My Pappa Messaged Me?
Meanwhile, something was running through my mind.
I noticed that I hadn’t received any messages from my Pappa since the afternoon. After some time, I started wondering what had happened and why she hadn’t texted me.
Eventually, I messaged her myself and asked her.
She told me that since I had gone shopping, she didn’t want to disturb me.
When she said that, I immediately told her that she doesn’t have to think like that. She is always my priority.
Even if I’m outside shopping or doing something else, if she texts me, I’ll reply whenever I can. She doesn’t have to avoid messaging me simply because I’m outside somewhere.
We had spoken on calls during the morning, and we also got some time to speak again at night. So even though there weren’t many messages during the afternoon, we still had our moments together throughout the day.
Back to the Room
Once our shopping was finished, my colleague and I returned to the room.
We had some food, calculated everything we had spent together, and split the payments between us. By then, I was extremely tired.
Swimming, going outside, walking around the market, shopping, and everything else had drained whatever energy I had left.
So eventually, I went to sleep.
A Simple but Good Day
That was basically how yesterday went.
I bought UAE101.net and took the first step towards building something of my own. I had one of my best swimming sessions so far and finally felt confident swimming alone. I enjoyed biryani and a movie, explored a cheap local market in Dubai, bought a few things, and spent time speaking with my Pappa.
Nothing extraordinary happened, but it was a good day.
And yes, I completely forgot to publish this blog before sleeping. 😅
