Some days don’t need big adventures to become memorable. Today was simple, calm, and mostly spent planning for the future. Between buying a new domain, working on a fresh website idea, watching movies, and talking to my Pappa, the day reminded me that sometimes progress happens quietly. With only three days left before returning to India, every moment feels like another step closer to home.
Starting the Day with New Plans
I woke up around 7:30 A.M. today. The first thing I saw was my Pappa’s good morning message. I wished her back, freshened up, took my laptop, and went downstairs. While having a cup of coffee, I started thinking about what I should do once I return to India.
Since I had already started working on a UAE-focused website, I wanted to begin another project for an Indian audience. After thinking for a while, I decided to create a website focused on Indian government schemes. I purchased the domain MySchemeGuide.com and immediately started setting up the hosting and configuring the website. It felt exciting to begin another new project.
Swimming and a Relaxing Morning
After completing the initial setup, I went for a swimming session. Swimming has become one of my favorite ways to relax during my stay in Dubai.
Once I returned to my room, I took a hot shower and had a simple breakfast of bread. It wasn’t anything special, but it was enough to start the day comfortably.
Movie Time
After breakfast, I decided to relax for a while by watching the latest Spider-Man movie that had released recently. I had been waiting to watch it, but honestly, the movie felt quite average. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t as exciting as I expected.
While watching the movie, I ordered biryani for lunch. Once the food arrived, I finished my meal and completed the movie.
An Afternoon Nap
After lunch, I started feeling sleepy, so I decided to take a short nap.
That “short nap” ended up lasting until around 4:30 P.M.
Sometimes weekends are meant exactly for this—catching up on the sleep that weekdays never allow.
Working on My New Website
After waking up, I went downstairs again, bought another cup of coffee, and continued working on my newly purchased website.
I spent time setting everything up and planning how I wanted to build the website. Starting something from scratch always feels exciting. Even though it’s just the beginning, I already have many ideas about the content I want to create after returning to India.
Missing My Pappa
Throughout the day, one thought kept coming back again and again.
I miss my Pappa.
There are only three days left before I return to India, but somehow those three days feel much longer than they actually are. Every time I think about meeting her, I become impatient and wish time would move just a little faster.
Too Many Movies, No Decision
When I returned to my room, my roommate was awake, and I wanted to spend the evening watching another movie.
The problem was choosing one.
First, I opened Power Rangers SPD.
Then I switched to Dikkiloona.
A few minutes later, I opened Kalki.
After that, I even considered watching Durandhar.
I watched around ten minutes of each movie before finally deciding to continue with Kalki. Sometimes choosing a movie takes longer than actually watching one.
Evening Shopping
While watching the movie, I realized that my bread had almost finished. Since I only have a few more days left in Dubai, I went to the nearby supermarket to buy enough bread for the remaining days.
While I was there, I also bought an ice cream and a packet of popcorn.
As I was walking to the shop, my Pappa video-called me.
That made my evening instantly better.
We spoke for a while, and I was genuinely happy to see her face. Earlier in the morning, she had also video-called me, but she couldn’t talk because her mother was nearby. This evening, we finally got a chance to spend a few peaceful minutes together.
A Simple End to the Day
After returning to my room, I continued watching Kalki while waiting for my dinner order to arrive.
Today wasn’t filled with exciting adventures or emotional moments.
It was simply one of those peaceful days where everything moved slowly.
I worked on a new dream, relaxed with movies, spoke with the person I love the most, and counted one more day closer to going home.
Once I finish my dinner, I’ll call my Pappa one last time to wish her good night, say “Love you,” and then head to sleep.
Tomorrow is another working day, so I want to wake up early and start fresh.
Only three more days.
I honestly can’t wait to go back home.
Good night, everyone. ❤️
