Today started with a strange feeling. From the moment I woke up, I somehow felt that the day wasn’t going to be good. Maybe it was because I hadn’t slept properly the previous night, or maybe it was just one of those days when your mind tells you something is going to go wrong.
My Sleep Was Completely Disturbed
Yesterday night, I went to sleep quite early. But after around an hour, my roommate came back and started knocking on the door very loudly. He wasn’t just knocking—he was literally drumming on the door continuously.
One thing about me is that I really don’t like anyone disturbing my sleep, except for the people who are very close to me. I immediately got angry, and because of that anger, I didn’t open the door. I tried to ignore everything and go back to sleep.
But once my sleep was disturbed, I couldn’t sleep properly anymore. Around 12 o’clock, my roommate called me, and unfortunately, I picked up the call. I finally got up, opened the door for him, and went back to bed.
Even after that, I couldn’t get proper sleep. I kept waking up and couldn’t feel comfortable. Somewhere in my mind, I already had this feeling that the next day was going to be bad.
Good Morning From My Pappa ❤️
When I woke up in the morning, the first thing that made me feel a little better was seeing the good morning message from my Pappa. As usual, I replied, “Good morning, Pappa.” Then I freshened up and went downstairs to wait for her call.
As soon as my Pappa called me, I started telling her everything that had happened during the night. I told her how my sleep got disturbed, how angry I became, and how I felt that the entire day was going to be bad.
My Pappa listened to everything and tried to convince me to just let it go. Hearing her made me feel a little better, and after that, we moved on to our regular conversations. We spoke about how our weekend went and shared the usual things happening in our lives.
Soon, my Pappa reached her office. It was also time for me to get ready for work, so we ended the call and I went back to my room.
Even My Breakfast Went Wrong
Once I reached my room, I kept the eggs for boiling and went to get ready. Unfortunately, while boiling, the eggs broke. It was such a small thing, but because I already had this feeling that today was going to be bad, even those broken eggs made me think, “Okay, this day really isn’t going well.”
After that, I took a bath and had some bread for breakfast. I had a lot of work waiting for me, so I didn’t want to waste any more time. I immediately went downstairs and started working.
Once I started working, I completely lost track of time. There was a lot to complete, and I kept moving from one task to another without even realizing how quickly the hours were passing.
Waiting for My Pappa’s Call
Meanwhile, I was waiting for my Pappa’s call. She also had a lot of tasks today, so I didn’t want to disturb her by continuously messaging her. I knew she was busy, and I wanted her to concentrate on her work peacefully.
After my Pappa finished her lunch, she finally called me. We started talking about our work and told each other about the tasks we had been handling. In a way, both of us were convincing and motivating each other to get through the day.
It was a short break from all the work happening around us. After talking for some time, we had to return to our respective work, so we ended the call by saying “Love you” to each other.
I then went to have my lunch. After finishing lunch, I had three calls lined up, so once again I became completely occupied with work.
Something My Pappa Hid From Me
By the time I finished those calls, my Pappa was leaving her office. Meanwhile, I came to know that it was raining there. Before leaving the office, she hadn’t told me that it was raining.
When I asked her why she didn’t tell me, she said that if she had told me about the rain, I would have asked her to leave the office early. That’s why she hid it from me.
That actually made me feel bad. It wasn’t really about the rain itself; I was disappointed because she felt she had to hide something from me. I told her, “Please don’t hide anything from me. Whatever I’m saying, I’m saying it only because I care about you and want you to be safe.”
At the same time, I didn’t want to keep advising her and spoil her mood. I was already disappointed, but I didn’t want that small issue to turn into a bigger conversation or an argument.
Ending Our Evening Call ❤️
After that, we continued speaking normally. We had some regular conversations, and slowly everything went back to normal. Eventually, my Pappa reached near her home.
As usual, her brother came to pick her up. Once he arrived, it was time for us to end the call. We said goodbye and “Love you” to each other before ending it.
After the call, I went outside to have some tea. I had my tea, spent a little time outside, and then returned to my room.
Laundry, Songs and Dinner Confusion
Once I came back, I put my clothes in for washing. I waited for the washing and drying to finish, collected my clothes, and then spent some time listening to songs.
Meanwhile, I was confused about whether I should have dinner. I wasn’t extremely hungry, so initially I thought I could simply eat some bread and go to sleep.
But I know my stomach very well. If I skip dinner completely, there is a good chance that my stomach will start hurting later. I didn’t want to wake up in the middle of the night because of hunger or stomach pain.
So, finally, I ordered chicken fried rice. Once it arrived, I started eating it and completed my dinner.
One Last Video Call With My Pappa
Before I had my dinner, my Pappa video-called me. She was already in her bed and was about to sleep.
I was happy that I could see her once more before the day ended. Since she had to wake up in the morning, I asked her to sleep instead of staying awake longer, because I didn’t want her to wake up with a headache.
We spoke for a little while and, as usual, ended our call by saying “Love you” to each other.
Now I’ve finished my chicken fried rice and I’m sitting here writing today’s blog. Once I publish this, I’m going straight to sleep.
The day that I thought would be terrible wasn’t actually as bad as I expected. There were a few frustrating moments—the disturbed sleep, the broken eggs, a lot of work, and the small disappointment with my Pappa—but somehow the day still ended peacefully.
And yeah, that’s it for today.
Good night, guys. See you in the next blog. ❤️
